Kapilana lakefront vacations frequently asked questions

Where are you located?	We are in the heart of Osage Beach at the one mile mark of the Grand Glaize arm of the lake. The Grand Glaize joins the main channel (Osage) at its 19 mile mark.
What activities do you have?	On site we have an outdoor heated (when required) pool which is open from 2 weeks prior to Memorial Day until 2 weeks after Labor Day. We also have a rec room with arcade games and a Nintendo Wii. We also have a small playground and great fishing from our 8 docks.
Can we swim in the Lake at Kapilana?	There is a gravel swim beach and swim platform in our cove. We are a few minutes from Public Beach 2 in the State Park which has a sandy beach.
Can we see the lake from our room?	All of our units face the lake as Kapilana is built on the shoreline of 3 coves. However, like most places we do have boat docks so some units do not have the panoramic view that others do. Where you choose is a compromise - down close to the sea wall or higher with a view.
What's nearby?	All of the Osage Beach attractions such as mini golf, go karts, indoor arcade, Lazer Tag and water parks are a few minutes away. There are great restaurants as well as watercraft rental within walking distance.
Do you have internet access?	We provide free WiFi on site in season but the signal in the units furthest away from the pool area is limited by trees etc. so we can't guarantee you'll get a signal everywhere.
What's provided in the accommodation?	All of our units have bed linens, towels, pots, pans, dishes, glassware, flatware, We stock up on dish soap, small hotel style bars of hand soap, paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, make up wipes) and trash bags prior to your arrival. We will provide more if you run out - just ask.
What should we bring?	Personal toiletries such as shampoos, lotions etc. Extraordinary kitchen items such as cheesecake pans, cake pans etc. although we have been known to loan such items. We don't provide coffee, food or beverages of any type. You should bring your own pool and beach towels.
Is there a hairdryer?	Our rooms have all the normal appliances such as coffee maker, microwave, toaster and some even have a blender but we know that you have to have the hairdryer for your style so you should bring your own.
Is there a grill?	All the units have their own charcoal grill. Unit 7D is equipped with a propane grill.
Do you have a boat ramp?	Our guests use the excellent boat launching facilities at the State Park which is about a mile away from the Resort. The exact location can be found on the map on the Directions page of our website.
Are you pet friendly?	We love our pets (lots of them) but unfortunately we do not have enough spare capacity to allow pets into our units. We are also sometimes asked for rooms that are "pet clean" by guests with allergies.
Can we fish at Kapilana	Yes, provided you have the appropriate permit. A daily permit is $7, an annual resident permit is $12 and $42 for non residents. Anglers 15 years or younger and Missouri residents over 65 do not need permits. Visit the Missouri Department of Conservation website for more details.
How's the fishing at Kapilana?	We have 113 boat slips and our condo owners have been putting in Crappie beds for the last 25 years so if they're biting, Kapilana's a great place to catch Crappie. We have also seen some impressive Bass and Catfish caught right off our docks too. Don't forget this is where Jeremy Wade stayed when he was fishing the Lake of the Ozarks!
Do you have laundry facilities?	All of our Lakefront Suites have washers and dryers and we exchange towels for Poolside and Beach House guests daily. If you need to do any other laundry, Beach Laundry is just a few hundred yards away.
